Welcome to Kingsway kennel

Hi,

I, Kapil Krishnamurthy was born into the World of German Shepherds through my dad (D. Krishnamurthy). My dad always had a liking and a passion for animals of all kinds.

I used to tag along with my dad for every show he attended and my love for the breed developed. Eventually I started handling dogs at a very young age and did exceptionally well.

The years passed, I studied, went overseas to the UK where I had the opportunity to attend many Speciality Shows held by The German Shepherd League of Great Britain and made many friends. I discovered that the Germans were the masters for sure. I then decided to attend The German Sieger Show in 2004 held at Karlsruhe and bought my first male from the Young Class. He was the son of the double World Sieger Yasko Vom Farbenspiel (Rascos Vom Messebau), to look at he was almost faultless and an outstanding producer. His son Kingway's Mika was three time Indian Bred Sieger and realising I won it thrice, with a Shepherd I bred myself is an enormous thrill and something no one can take away from me.

I then made frequent visits to Germany to explore more about the German Shepherd breed, made friends, partners and extended family. I was so fascinated with the way my German friends work together, they have a plan and a system in place which makes them progress. I wanted to incorporate their working technique in India. My friend partner and I must say my German Shepherd Guru Mr. Peter Meurer from kennel Dakota has supported me all through my learning phase. My years of interacting with him have taught me how different they train and show their dogs and how different they approach their breeding program. But with the systems and a plan in place, I certainly believe the German Shepherd game in India also can progress.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."
